I have a '96 SAAB 900 SE Turbo auto-trans that is not starting. The engine turns over at a normal speed but it doesn't start up. I have an ODB2 reader and no codes are pulling up. The dash shows a Check Gearbox light

My 96 900se turbo auto trans was doing the same thing. whats most likely is that the shifter cable is not fully letting the car grab the park gear, which won't let it turn on. or it may be the neutral safety swtich that needs a good cleaning or replacement. I hope this helps, in my case it was the shifter cable.
I would check for fuel pressure first. If the fuel pump is out, it will not throw a code to the computer.
