The wiring kit is simple to intstall it goes between the radio and the cars existing wiring harness that the radio plugs into, it "sandwiches in there, no cutting of any wires, just plug one end of the harness to the cars radio harness and the other end of the adapter harness to the radio and you are done.
- Remove any access panels you need to access the radio.
- Remove the radio & disconnect the wires from it.
- Hook up one side of the ISO harness to the car and the radio. It only fits one way.
- Hook up the other side of the ISO harness to the Parrot harness. It only fits one way.
- Connect the Parrot harness to the Parrot blue box.
- Connect the Parrot display ( if your model has one ) to the Parrot blue box.
- Install the battery in the Parrot remote.
- Turn on the ignition. At the Parrot title screen, simultaneously press Green, Play/Pause, and Red on the Parrot remote to pair it to the blue box. You should be able to press the knob on the remote and control the system. Your phone will still need to be paired, but wait until later to do this.
- If everything works, turn off the ignition. You should see the "goodbye" message. If not, check the wiring and try again. You must connect the ground wire on the Parrot harness to a good ground or it will not work at all!
- Disconnect your car battery to prevent the A pillar air bags from deploying in case you hit something you shouldn't while running wires.
- Remove the A pillar cover on the drivers side, run the mic wire, replace the cover.
- Run the USB, iPod, Line In wires to the glove box or wherever you want.
- Connect the car battery.
- Turn on the ignition and confirm that the system is still working.
- Follow the directions in the manual for pairing your phone to the Parrot.
- Turn off the ignition and re-install the radio and any other panels you removed.
