I have a a old Gibralco compressor when i cut it on it starts fine when it reaches desired pressure it stops and restarts until i kicks the breaker what can i try
The compressor after reaching desired pressure it cuts off and on until it kicks the breaker the compressor was left on overnight before it started PS the air hole on top of the head leaks all the time

I suspect that the start/run capacitor is faulty or the centrifugal switch in the back of the motor is faulty
have an accredited electrician check the motor , capacitor and the pressure control switch
the air leak at the head is a faulty non return valve in the compressor line to the tank
