I have an Amcor AF12000E air conditioner 2 years old. I set it up and turned it on today and the compressor light stayed on 5 minutes and is now out. Does this mean the compressor is not working? I set the temp for 79degrees and it reads 83, so further cooling needs to take place.

I would think the unit might just need recharging, since the compressor shouldn't go bad this soon. There's also the possibility that the thermostat is bad. The unit needs to be checked out.
I bought the unit at Home Hardware in Vernon. Where do I take it to have it checked out? Will it be under warranty? Thank you. Sharell
