I have a aprilaire 550 that was not letting water through. I tapped the valve and it worked one time and now wont let water through again. Are there ohm checks I can do on the solenoid or is there a cleaning procedure for the valve?

There is both Voltage to check there (should be 24 volts) and there is a strainer that needs to be cleaned on the intake of the solenoid and an orifice on the output of the solenoid that needs cleaning also.
