The error indicates that the AVH-X2500BT can't read the disc. The DVD could be dirty or scratched or upside down in the tray. Try cleaning the disc or putting in another DVD. The other issue is a mechanical or electrical problem with the unit. Turn off the car's ignition then press the Reset button on the unit. The reset button is recessed and has to be pressed with a pen tip (it's on the far left of the front button array).
The manuals for the unit is available here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/AVH-X2500BT_OwnersManual010213.pdf . See page 4 (page 7 of the PDF) for the location of the Reset button. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual. If the reset doesn't work, you ,may need to have the unit serviced. (Check that your electrical system doesn't have any fuse or ground problems first.)
Thank's, I will be connecting the wire over this weekend. Then I will retry playing a DVD.Thank's, I will be connecting the wire over this weekend. Then I will retry playing a DVD.
You're welcome. I hope the unit works when the parking brake is on after you finish the wiring. Cindy WellsYou're welcome. I hope the unit works when the parking brake is on after you finish the wiring. Cindy Wells
