I have a Belkin N F5D8233 router that I am giving to my daughter because is slows my main computer down so much. The only problem, my son-in-law installed it in Feb. 2008, and We don't remember the pass word. Is there a way to cancel that password and let my daughter add hers?
If the password is the problem and sicen you wll be giving it to your daughter better reset the router first so it will be abck to its defauolt settings meaning its fresh again, Reset the router byt pressing the reset button for about 15 seconds while the router is power on and all the settings there will be gobe including the password so your daughter just needs to install it like a new router....

Sure, to reset your router, in the back. There must be a small hole. You keep the power cord plug. You can use a pencil and press for 10 seconds.
