The lights on the sensor are the correct colors. the green light is the receiving sensor, and the amber light is the transmitting sensor. If the light on the motor head is blinking, most likely it's blinking a certain number of times, pausing, then repeating the sequence to tell what the problem is. In your owner's manual, there should be a list of what the blinks mean. Watch your opener's light for a few minutes, take note of the flashes, then compare them to your owner's manual.
