The fuel intake is from the top of the fuel tank, there is a tube which goes to the bottom of the tank. This tube may have deteriorated and come off or have a crack. You can lift the cab and reach down to the tank to pull the plug to check. good luck
even easier than that.....open valve on top of fuel filter...squeeze fuel bulb as if to prime system like after a filter change....if you get fuel the TUBE must be ok...my lift pump was weak...weak not completely gone yet.($120.00) (loss of power on hills etc)....my primer bulb was getting rock hard from age ($30.00)... I did not replace eighter on....I put in an electric fuel pum in place of the primer bulb...($60.00) in ----zone...now no matter how low the temp or the steepest hill this 863 is a beast..even easier than that.....open valve on top of fuel filter...squeeze fuel bulb as if to prime system like after a filter change....if you get fuel the TUBE must be ok...my lift pump was weak...weak not completely gone yet.($120.00) (loss of power on hills etc)....my primer bulb was getting rock hard from age ($30.00)... Check the connectors at the fuel selenoid, they get loose and don't make proper contact
