I have a Bunn BTX-B. It just stopped heating the water. I received it as a Christmas gift, purchased on Dec. 24, 2010, from Lowes. I do not have the receipt. I emailed customer service. They sent me two emails, the first one states that the 3 year manufacturers warranty has expired, and offering an exhange program for $101.95. The 2nd email tells the main reasons for "leak issues", and again states the warranty is expired. My machine does NOT leak. and it was purchased barely 2 years ago, how can the 3 year warranty be expired?

Warranty is 1 year parts and labor, 2 years parts only and 3 years for control boards. That model does not have a control board. You could have a bad thermostat, bad high limit, bad thermal link or bad element. Without you having a multimeter anSd the knowledge of how to use it properly it would be best to replace the unit.
