I have a BX1300G APC UPS. It will not turn on. If plugged in a socket the surge only outlets work fine. Took the fully charged battery from my BX1500G out and tried it in the 1300, still will not turn on. What now ? I'm lost. Help !
Yes that means the inverter board is faulty. some component must be out of order probably a capacitor. inverter board is the one that converts your inserted battery DC power to AC which your system is using. you can either replace it or take to a service center and also if technical and with the right tools ( multimeter), identify the faulty component and replace it. Regards
Battery or no, the Power light should come on when you plug it in. Unless the wall socket does not have power. Please check. And when you connect the battery the red On Battery light should come on power or no power. Most likely, it is the wall socket that the plug is not connecting to and thus no power to the UPS. Also there is an On Off switch at the back that has to be turned on to start the UPS. If it is Off then the UPS is dead. Try to locate it.
