I have a carrier humidifier model BG49. When the furnace turns off due to reaching room temp. The water still continues to flow into the reservoir of the humidifier. Is this the correct operating procedure?

Hello, The humidifier should turn on and off with the furnace's blower motor, If the humidifier keeps continously running than the solenoid valve is stuck open and should be replaced.
