I have a case jx 70. Yesterday we changed the oil and filter on the power steering .The filter was completely blocked, now it is cleaned out we have to much oil pressure in the oil reservoir. The bolt on top of the power steering pump where the oil leaves the pump i took this off expecting this was a bleed piont. Tractor was started with that bolt off and it shot a heap of oil out. So now i have all this pressure and the oil has bubbles and foam in it. We have checked all the fitting after we changed the oil and we have gone back over the fittings and pipes and all it good(tight and no broken hoses that we can see). I was just wondering is there a small ball bearing or something that was at that bleed piont and when started it was shot out?...i got now idea. Thanks for your time. chris warwick qld

Take a look and see if this piece came out. Here are 2 pictures. The first one with a pressure regulator and the 2nd one without a regulator: (2 different pumps but same concept)

I am not sure if you can get just the regulator from an implement dealer. They may only sell a replacement (new or re-built) power steering pump.
