I have a casio sps-300 sea-pathfinder watch. I've had it less than a month. Suddenly all the buttons stopped working. The time still runs, and the tide graph works, and so does the hourly time signal. But i am unable to set the time or use the light or any other functions because nothing happens when I press any of the buttons

Hi I am a watchmaker and this is a common problem that i have found a lot of times. The watch needs to be opened up and shorted out. With a pair of thweezers touch the AC & the - and this should solve your problem.
