In changing the battery, you may have wiped out the security system in the vehicle and it needs to reset. Because you have a chip in the key, it needs to communicate with the receiver. Try this but first you need to make sure the battery is fully charged or connect a charger. Insert the key and turn the key until the accessory lights come on but do not start vehicle. Leave in that position for ten minutes. After ten minutes, turn the ignition switch off and back to accessory for another ten minutes. This must be done 3 times for a total of 30 minutes.
