That is the code for what Ford calls a DPFE or Dual Pressure Feedback Emissions sensor, or a base number 9j460. To everybody else but Ford it's called an EGR Sensor, go figure. Anyway, that code is telling you one of two things, if the sensor is working correctly, then it is telling you there is something wrong with your EGR system, that could be a crack in the tube going to your EGR, if you have one, or a broken wire somewhere, or it could be the EGR valve itself, or the EGR solenoid or the vacuum lines that go to any of the above parts. Now if the DPFE is bad, it will throw the same code. There is a few things you should check before you start throwing parts at the truck. First the DPFE has two hoses running to it, make sure they are not cracked or lose, that can cause the code. Second any other vacuum lines in the EGR system need to be checked as well. Now if you have metal tube that is going to your EGR valve, check to make sure that isn't craked. Sometimes Ford has little hoses going to that tube and it cracks where those hoses mount to it. If you have a heat sleeve on the tube try to see under it, I know of several cases of rust holes hiding under the heat sleeves. If all of that stuff checks out, and you feel like it might be an actual part, the DPFE is a good place to start. I know when worked at Ford I sold a ton of those bad boys. On the other hand, I also know of many times when it took the solenoid or the valve itself to fix the problem.
