I have a cook essentials 6qt digital pressure cooker - I got an error code E1(or F1) but there is no troubleshooting guide in the manual - does anyone know what this means? My email is:[email protected]
Same thing.I put a frozen pork roast in like I have before but I then put the rub on and added cold liquid. Normally I rub first then add to pan. I kept getting E1 code. My wife got on here and read this so I put the pan with the meat in the oven for 3 minutes to warm it then put it back in the base.It started and is working just fine.
Same here. After my wife died I stored mine for two years. Stuck it in the oven warmed it up. Put it back in waited 2 min for the heat and pressure to build up and it came on perfectly.Same here. What is happening if the pot part gets to cold it can't read right. Just heat the pot up in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes and it will start. Hope that helps
I just had the same problem. E1 error. I took out the bowl out of the cooker. Like if you were cleaning the cooker. Then press down the button in the middle of the heating element several times. Then making sure the cooker is unplugged bang the cooker on the feet of the cooker down on the counter. Then plug it back in and bingo it works.. This is just a reset method. It is NOT BROKE !!!

I was hoping your solution was wrong b/c I just received my COOKS PC about 2 yrs ago for my wedding and only used it a handful of times after I got it out of the box 6 months ago. I love it. It started displaying "E1" and beeping continuously. I searched for my manual and had no luck. I looked online for solutions. One solution said my food was too cold. Well, I took out the metal pot and placed thumb on center metal piece. The warmth of my thumb caused the beeping to stop. I unplugged the PC, defrosted BBQ pork in microwave, and started all over. My Cooks PC is cooking my BBQ pork as I write this. It would appear as though this is a built-in safety mechanism. If food is too cold, this would need increased pressure to cook. The pressure needed would exceed the COOKS PC capacity and would shut off anyway...leaving your food uncooked anyway. This is the only rational reason I can think of. Whatever the reason, my COOKS PC still works...and this makes me very happy.I was hoping your solution was wrong b/c I just received my COOKS PC about 2 yrs ago for my wedding and only used it a handful of times after I got it out of the box 6 months ago. Your heating element is burned out.
