I have a Craftsman lawn tractor, model 917.250380, with a hydro static belt drive transaxle. In forward the mower will only go at a very slow pace. Belts seem good. Won't roll in Freewheel

I have a Craftsman lawn tractor, model 917.250380, with a hydro static belt drive transaxle. In forward the mower will only go at a very slow pace. Belts seem good. Won't roll in Freewheel

Most transaxles will have a disc brake on the side, if the brake is binding on the disc this will slow it down, on the side of the axle there will be a nyloc adjuster nut, by turning this anti clockwise you will free the brake.
