I have a Danze Roman Tub Facet with the Soft Touch Wand. When we purchased the home, the wand would have regular problems dis-engaging. Now, the water will not turn on and the Soft Touch Wand will not work either. No water at all. I think this has to do with the mechanism that switches the water between the normal faucet and the wand. What is the best way to troubleshoot and fix this problem?

Wait...no water at all? i mean...none from the faucet head or the wand?...if this is the case and it happened out of the blue my first question would be: are than any other faucets or valves in the house experiencing any trouble (bath faucet, toilet fill valve, etc) and second question is have you or your neighbors had any major plumbing issues lately?...has any plumbers been to your house lately? because it sounds like foreign matter. except, usually, in order to get so much foreign matter jammed into a faucet that it completely stops running you would have to walk around the house banging the pipes for 3 days or have had some major plumbing work done and they got dirt in your lines while doing it. In which case they are/should be responsible for replacing the faucet. hope that helps but if you need anything else just text me:)
ok now i get it:) and yes your assumption is correct about the "mechanism". it is either faulty or there is normal foreign matter build up.Unfortunately i am unfamiliar w/this particular model but it does not mean i cannot help you:) i have 2 questions first:) 1.are you sure there is no access to the underside of the faucet?...i mean what exactly is "behind" the faucet/tubspout? 2. can u please examine closely the tubspout at the base there may be a small hole where you can put an "alan" key into to remove the spout...or any other way to remove the tubspout? BUT DONOT DO IT while you do that i am going to look up the specs of your "tub-diverter" to find out exactly how the mechanism works and we will get you through this as painless as possible:)ok now i get it:) and yes your assumption is correct about the "mechanism". it is either faulty or there is normal foreign matter build up.Unfortunately i am unfamiliar w/this particular model but it does not mean i cannot help you:) i have 2 questions first:) 1.are you sure there is no access to the underside of the faucet?...i mean what exactly is "behind" the faucet/tubspout? 2. can u please examine closely the tubspout at the base there may be a small hole where you can put an "alan" key into to remove the spout...or any other way to remove the tubspout?
