I have a Dimplex Fan Heater everything is working but when I turned it on the bottom of it starting to melt and smelt terrible I quickly turned it off think it would cause a fire
Heating & Cooling - Dimplex - DF3003 Electric MidSize Heater
Well yes, it will cause a fire. If it is hot enough to melt material, then it is hot enough to catch fire. Is this a new install? Are the wires connected correctly? I'm not sure what we need to accomplish at this point, other than a real safety issue that has me concerned.
