I have a Dirt Devil Swivel Glide Vac with a broken belt. I have purchased the correct belt(#4).The bottom is off and I cannot tell where the belt connects to. Please help. Jann

It connects to the left side with the little metal rod sticking out.then connect to the wooden roller. in the space without the brush on it. roll the wooden piece to check if everything moves. then put back together.
