I have a dsc power 832, and have replaced the battery, but i can not get it returned to the ready state as it shows an alarm memory stating ''panel lid''. How do i reset this alarm message?

An "alarm Memory" indicates that a zone was activated the last time the system was armed. To view what zone caused the problem press the * key (star) + the 3 key. To reset the memory simply arm the system and disarm. Hope this helps.
I'm not sure what "panel lid" is referring to but the first thing that comes to my mind is there may be tamper switches installed on the control panel door. Find where your control panel is (small metal white box which houses an electronic mother board). Open the hinged door of the panel and check to see if there are any plunger type switches installed inside the cabinet to detect opening of the control panel door. If the panel door is closed the switch should engage and the system keypad indicate that your system is now ready to be armed. Try this and let me know.I'm not sure what "panel lid" is referring to but the first thing that comes to my mind is there may be tamper switches installed on the control panel door. Please go check to see if you have these tamper switches installed in the control panel. If so you must close the panel door completely before attempting to arm the system. If this fails to correct the problem then the tamper switch may either be bad or out of alignment. Most tamper switches have an adjustable plunger. Take a phillips screwdriver and unscrew the plunger in a counterclockwise motion. Do a little at a time, close the panel door and keep checking your keypad until it shows the system is ready to be armed. If this doesn't work you most likely have a defective tamper switch. The easiest way to bypass this switch is to remove the wiring from the back of the switch and twist the wires together. Be sure to also wire in the small resistor if used. Some installing companies use resistors and some do not. Let me know how you made out. Please go check to see if you have these tamper switches installed in the control panel. Dsc power 832 shows low battery tested it and its good, lost power the other night w/ battery out of unit, now it shows zones 4-8 lite up in yellow and zones 1 and 2 w/o lights. Can't reset. Do I need to reset time and date?
