I have a Dyna-Glo unvented gas-fired room heater model RMI-80NGT. The pilot light goes off when the room reaches the desired temp and the flame goes out. I can light the pilot light but it goes out once the heater has reached the desired temperature
My Dyna-Glow Model Number: RMC-8000PGH has an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) that will kill the pilot lite if the oxygen level gets low. Only the tip of the pilot flame touches the thermocouple. The thermocouple is bad on one of the two units that own. I plan to replace the thermocouple with an 'off the shelf' thermocouple that can be found in any heating supply house and then adjust the pilot to surround the thermocouple to keep it hot enough to keep the gas valve open. The company appears to be out of business. Their !-800 number can be found but doesn't connect to their business. Good luck with parts search! MAKE SURE THERE IS AMPLE FRESH AIR IN THE ROOM, SOME MODELS ARE MADE TO NOT LIGHT IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FRESH AIR. RON G.
