The hyd oil filter just below the deck on the right side, under your right foot, The cover looks like a peanut, is clogged. The outside cover is under spring tension and it has a screen, probably ripped.

It could be that the grease stiffens in winter.

Speak to the supplier, it might be a common problem and therefore a simple answer ( e.g. replace the grease with a lighter type).
