I have a Fedders Window Air conditioner, model A2008F2BG. It was working great until today. Now it comes on but the fan wont blow much air. Any ideas?
Air conditioner was working great until today. First, it started blowing hot air. Hubby turned it off and unplugged it. Several hours later, plugged it back in and turned it on. Air is cold again but fan doesn't seem to turn very fast. We live in the Midwest and are expecting another heat wave this week! Help!?

I believe that is an older window unit. I don't know how difficult it is to get to the fan, but I would check to see if it can be cleaned, then see if there is any insulation or anything that is blocking air flow. I am assuming the filter is clean?
