I have a Fishman pre-amp mod MKAB Acoustic Base Optimized in a Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5FL TBK.. as soon as the plug is pushed in the jack, the battery lite on the amp flashes for an instant , then goes off, I'm not sure if it should stay on all the time OR if it acts like a warning light when the battery voltage goes low. Either way, there is no audio output. Would appreciate any assistance befor eI trouble shoot further. I am a tech so its always wise to ask an expert....... thanks, jerry
Most acoustic/electric pre-amp's red light comes on when the battery is low & ready to die. The red light flashes when you put the jack in because the battery light takes a fraction of a second to proccess. If the red light flashes off & on when you push on the pre-amp, it is probably because you are causing the battery connector to short or disconnect giving the pre-amp low voltage so the red light comnes on.
