I have a fridigare fridge 2 yrs old. It works great and keeps food cold, BUT everytime I open the fridge door or the freezer door, it kicks on the compressor and it runs for 20-30 minutes. even if i only open the door for 1 second i live alone and do not leave my fridge door open for long periods of time. Lately the compressor kicks on about every hour or so and runs for 20-30 minutes. Repairman said that he light inside the fridge heats up the box and compressor has to stabilize the temp but i only open for like one or two seconds PLUS there is no light in the freezer and it does the same thing when door is opened for only 1 or 2 seconds. Do not think it was designed to run this way plus it is annoying and probably wasting power any ideas
