I have a fuji xp60. Just charged the battery. Insert into camera. Screen indicates date is not set. Controls will not allow me to set the date. The last time I had the camera out (May 2013) the screen went fuzzy. I opened the camera, removed the battery, re-insert battery and camera worked fine

I had a Fuji camera which did similar. It turned out to be a defective component inside the camera. Fuji do a repair service where you contact them for an estimate before repair. If the camera is old, it may not be worth the cost and cheaper to buy a later model. Sorry
