I have a Gaggia Carezza machine that is about 3 years old. Yesterday, the power switch seemed to have some resistance when I turned it off. I also smelled a burning plastic smell. Today, the switch seemed to work fine the first time I used it, but when I turned the switch on the next time, the machine did not power on. Is this something that can be fixed, or do I need to get a new one?
The description sounds like the switch has failed due to it's internal contacts arcing. I have a like problem with Mary214 that is ongoing. Please follow that thread to find your fix.
