I have a Galaxy 959 cb radio. I have extended the power wire, with the same gauge wire back to the battery. The radio lights dim slightly when I kay the mic. Is that normal? Other than that it works fine.

Its normal its only cause your useung more power from the deck

The dimming is caused by inadequate current flowing to the radio. While the wire gauge was fine for the stock wire length, adding length now makes the wires too resistant. Replace the wires with ones that are a larger diameter. Remember...smaller gauge number is larger wire size. Go 2 or 3 gauge numbers smaller (larger wire diameters) and the dimming problem should be gone.
