I have a Gateway DLP56TV 56 in. Rear Projection Television. I have been able to work out most problems. I have replaced bulbs... I had the humming noise and replaced the color wheel. I've had the front off and cleaned the mirrors. But now I'm having another problem. It happens only in HD. It can't seem to handle bright white screens. It will get a horizontal static whenever a completely or mostly white screen shows up. I can almost live with that, but after a couple of times, it looses color. When it comes back after going haywire, everything is darker. It is getting worse. It does it all the time. I've played with the brightness settings and that doesn't help. It just makes the darkness kind of grayer and washed out. It only does it in HD. If we're watching a non-HD station it is fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Where can I get parts for this? Other than the color wheel or bulbs. I can find them. Thanks, Dave

The problem you have mentioned is most likely related with interference(that also explains the static noise). Make sure that the HDMI cable is not crossing with power cables or any other stuff that are capable producing electro magnetic radiations such as a microwave, I have also had some customers report to me that using a longer HDMI cable(About 10 feet long) has resolved this problem. And the reason for this happening only in HDMI? Simple. Higher data transfer rate= More potential for problems.
