I have a Gateway FPD 1830 Monitor. I have to turn it on usually between 30 to 50 times to get it to turn on. What is wrong, and how can I fix it?
I can get the monitor to come on, but I have to turn it on 30 to 50 times real quick to get it to come on. How can I fix this?

The power supply, the inverter, or the lighting tubes may be defective. I would bet that you need some new capacitors in the power supply or possibly some transistors. Those are the two main failure points that cause the quick power supply shutdown. It detects overload and tries to save itself from total destruction by shutting down.
I bet on capacitors, especially if you never turn the power off but let it sit in standby all the time.
