I have a gateway Model No. NV55S20u, my dvd drive will not work. The DVD drive does not spin and the black piece comes out with the DVD. How can I fix this?
I put a DVD in the DVD drive and it will not spin or read the DVD. It acts like it wants to start but, doesn't do anything. The black middle piece that holds the DVD in place comes out with the DVD.

Try taking the drive out then put it back in the computer
