Report "I have a Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P motherboard it was working for about 8 months. Set it on highest level of CPU throttling but the last three months my girlfriend was playing The Sims 3 with the expansion pack which is a heavy work load on the unit. Then i get home last after partying and she tell me that it crashed. So I tested it. All it dose is turn on no beeps,black screen and wont turn off with the HD light flashing on and off? So I removed the PSU and tested it in a another PC and powers on,works fine. The 2 Ram sticks have being swapped in different slots, I have removed the battery and reset the CMOS. I think I need a new motherboard because the power switch is set up fine but wont turn off so it can talk to the power supply and the only thing between it is the motherboard.The cables are connected correctly to the motherboard. The last upgrade i did was two weeks before it died and it was a due power slots Sata 250gbs hard drive with both IDE and Sata power slots. I did use both at the same time.One to the hard drive form the power supply [SATA] and the IDE to an extra fan. The only other thing is i didn't have a power surge protector :["
