I have a Goodman CK18-1B ac unit.outside fan will run for awhile then just shut off, compressor stays running like it should
I am thinking the motor is bad because it feels really hot

Replace fan
Test and check the relay and fan with a meter when fan goes off one of them is over heating
Are you heating or cooling? If cooling is the compressor overheating? Some outdoor fans run only when condenser reaches a certain temperature. If it is in fact a problem, a capacitor is much cheaper than a motor. Replace the cap, if it fixed it, awesome, if not, you compressor will be happy. Honestly does sound like the motor but go cap first. Best wishes!!
