I have a Great Outdoor smoker that won't get hot
I have a "smoky mountain series" by Great Outdoors. The last time I fired it up the high flame was about as hot as the usual medium flame. Tried three different tanks all with the same result (max temp was 190F). This has happened twice previously, but was solved after disconnecting the tank and re-connecting. Any ideas? Smoker won't get hot. max temp 190 degrees . meat not cooking. Same problem as last writer. [email protected]

I had the same problem with mine. I took the burner assembly at the knob apart and cleaned it and that worked for me. The grease from the meat dripped down on the gas orifice and hardened reduced the amount of gas being jetted to the burner. Hope this helps
This might sound too simple, but I've read on some bbq sites that if you open a "new" propane tank too quickly there is a built in saftey valve that closes, try opening the tank valve very slowly
