No fresh batteries will usually last much longer. My wife likes the TechnoMarine chrono's (lots of buttons & sub-dials). It has been my experience that SOME watch batteries ACTUALLY HAVE clear date codes... and can typically last 3 to 5 years (some even more). We have found changing the batteries ourselves KEEPS THE WATCHES in better condition (less scratches & damage. Have a look at the WIKI article at the bottom... Hope this helps.
