I have a Half a year old TAMRON 70-300mm Lens which i have actively used for both macro and normal zoom almost every day since i bought it. For maybe one month ago, when i turned to portrait mode it said: ERROR 01. COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE CAMERA AND LENS IS FAULTY. CLEAN THE LENS CONTACTS. well, i have cleaned and cleaned, but nothing seamed to work, so i just started to use other modes besides Portrait mode, but more and more modes started saying the same thing. So not so many days ago, i could only use Shutter mode and TV mode. And after using only those two modes for a while, it was one time when i turned on my camera and it went straight to ERROR 01. COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE CAMERA AND LENS IS FAULTY. CLEAN THE LENS CONTACTS. so i could not even look at my photos, take a photo or do anything with the camera. But when i used one of my other lenses, (CANON 18-55mm) it seemed to work just fine. But i am really depended on this lens, and because i live in the middle of Africa, i cant get to repair shop or buy a new one. so i am really stuck in this situation. if anyone has a solution to this, PLEASE TELL ME! (by the way, my camera is an CANON 650D

Cleaning the contacts on lens and camera is about all you can do. If its faulty and still under warranty then you'll need to send it back to where you got it from, any attempt to fix it yourself will void the warranty.
