I have a highlander 2005 and had a Avital remote start installed by a dealer, He is telling me that the lock and unlock on the key fabs will not work due to some security feature in the vehicle. I also just noticed that my driver power window will not work all the other windows work but the drivers side. I plan on taking it back for the window problem but is it try about the security system and that why the key fabs dont lock or unlock my vehicle

It sounds like the tech who installed this in your truck doesn't know what he is doing. I have been a tech for 20 years and have done 100's of these trucks for keyless remote starts. The door lock wires are in the drivers door or behind the glove box. There is some time in doing this because you have to build relays and use diodes for them to work, but it is possible to be done.I would find another place to do it and bill the first place that could not do it.
