I have a HP m8277c, 32 bit, and a Geforce 8400 GS. I updated the driver as Vista updated and now my monitor keeps getting vertival lines, the color on the monitor washes out, the screen freezes, and all kinds of letters appear before it crashes. Is my card bad? If I restart it works for awhile and then repeats. I was forced to update driver as software updated, and the monitor was reaaly screwed up until I updated driver
Computers & Internet - Nvidia - GeForce2 GTS Graphic Card
When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode. then login in viat Then go to control panel then add - remove program remove drivers from there.
then start your computer then install driver again.
Install your original driver back, go on safe mode, in task manager find your geforce graphics card then go on roll back driver after its working you need to go on there website and update it from there.
Your monitor can not reach the resolution required by the Vista, Did you already install the driver of your Video card, try to install if it can be reach the resolution, if it can be reach the resolution, it's time to remove the Vista and install the OS that you have before, because Vista require higher resolution
