I have a HTC Magic and my screen just went black. I turned my phone off for school and when i tried to turn it back on again the regular "mytouch logo" came on along with the "Android" logo, but after that the screen just goes black. I tried restarting it, it still wont work. PLEASE HELP!

Looks to me like a software error, or perhaps some sort of problem with the O.S (operating system) Best bet would be to take it back to where you bought it, and have them examine it.
