I have a Janome Jem Platinum 720. After a recent bobbin change the bobbin case will not stay seated. I have cleaned well under and around the case and have checked the threading. As soon as I start to stitch, the case wobbles and unseats itself. What's wrong?

Check to make sure you have the correct bobbin case for your machine. It should be an authentic Janome case (sometimes, generic--frequently foreign made--accessories are manufactured just a little bit off spec and are just enough so that they cause problems). Try installing it in your machine without a bobbin and see if it snaps in place.

make sure that the needle is in the fully up position as there is a special position for the bobbin to click onto.
