I have a KDS 5ms model 900W this was never used as my sister gave it to me since she was unable to get it to work. but like the others it won't stay on for more then 7 secs and you need to push the power button off and on what can i do to fix this?

These have problems with burning up transistors on the inverter side of the powerboard.
Sometimes they are fixable, sometimes not. It depends on which board is in it (they used 2 different styles)
I have done a few of these.

first you can test the voltage of the multr,and then check which part is defective.From Wisiny.com can find those parts
