I have a kidde nighthawk co gas detector. Twice in the past month the unit has alarmed with a GAS read out. The first time was hours after opening up the house for the first breath of fresh spring air. The only appliance is a set of gas fire logs. The pilot light is still lit for those chilly mornings. The second time was 8 AM this morning. We had the house open for a few hours yesterday. No cooking last night or this am. Have not used the logs for a couple of days. The first time the code indicated a possible low battery condition. The battery tested as new, but since it was a year old, I replaced it anyway. After the alarm sounded for several minutes, I unplugged it and it gave a code 216. Your thoughts are appreciated. Dave
