First of all, the projector is OLD (but you probably already know that).... As such, the grease in the projector either drips away or hardens over time. The first thing I would do is open the projector up and remove the fan. Replace the belts - they stretch over time and add a lot of noise at operating speed) (for Kodak parts try: www.micro-tools.com). Clean the hardened grease out with a mild solvent (WD-40 will work amazingly well). Inspect the "bearing surfaces" for excessive wear and replace components as necessary (for parts check with micro-tools.com). Addressing just these few things will make a remarkable difference to the operating noise from the projector. Good Luck !! Jim
