I have a lacie big disk extreme + 2.0 TB. I am using Win XP Home. Recently, I have been having problems getting the drive to boot. According to windows, I have about 850 GB of drive space left, so I don't think the drive is getting full. The problem seems to be intermittent. Also, when I do get the drive to boot, when I try to access it, the light starts to flash and I lose the boot. Is this a problem with the drive, or my PC?

Try connecting the drive to a different PC.
If you have the same (intermittent?) problem, then it is NOT your PC which is at fault.
I suspect that your unit is about to _permanently_ fail.
Make a backup copy of all your files, before it does.
Then, exercise LaCie's warranty to get it replaced.
