I have a Lanzar 4000 watt amplifier hooked up to 2 12inch MA Audio subs. When I crank my car the green power light on the amplifier comes on, but after a second or two it changes to protection mode. I have all of the setting turned all the way down and on the amplifier and both of the fuses in it are good. I also have a 150 audiopipe fuse on the power wire from the battery. Why is it not staying on power and slipping into protect mode

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Time to get an old school Opti Drive. .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. Lanzar
The amp is a low quality piece of equipment.. Check impedance, probably shouldn't go below four ohms bridged. Wire speakers in series, ie speaker to terminal on amp and the - of same speaker to the of the second speaker and second speaker's - to the amp -. That should double the ohms and usually amps being bridged internally halve the ohms so with two four ohm subs ram in series on a bridged amp would get a four ohm load. That or spend a couple hundred (400 ) for a name brand quality amp.
4000 watts going to 2 12'' speakers? what's the impedance ratings? do they match up? are the speakers 2000 watts a piece? it's like trying to empty a swimming pool through a drinking straw. you may need more speakers or a smaller amp. check your wiring. remote especially. hope you don't damage your hearing.
