I have a laptop that i tried to format and not able to boot or install OS again. so i've removed the notebook HDD and connect to other PC via usb cable. but then i'm not able to install OS on that from other PC. I want to install OS on an external hard disc using other PC. Is that possible.? do anyone know what to do.?

Have you tried to set the BIOS boot sequence first priority(ODD) of your laptop?
try this
1. restart the system and while screen is turning on keep on pressing F2 then look on boot then the 1st should be ODD then once you did that press F10 to save and exit then try it again by rebooting system then press F12 while screen is turning on to install OS in you laptop
