I have a memphis belle 1300 5 channel amp and recently the front right channel has started cracking and popping. i hear it at the same volume when the volume is up or on mute. the speaker still plays but im afraid im going to hurt the speaker by running it this way. there is nothing wrong with the speaker or wiring cause i tested another amp and it runs fine. what could have happened to my amp and how much does something like that cost to fix
You need to replace the outputs for that channel, but before you do that check to see if any broken or loose solder joints are visible in the area of that channel. evev check your rca grounds at the amp. I had the same problem and it turned out to be a bad ground on the rca's at the amp on that channel. I have been repairing for 17 years and certified installer as well as in repair. I have a small amp repair and install business and i am the cheapest in the US. I will beat anyones price. Need a repair send me a message. Thanks Also I know it's an old thread but it will help people who might be directed to this page from a search. You need to replace the outputs for that channel, but before you do that check to see if any broken or loose solder joints are visible in the area of that channel. evev check your rca grounds at the amp.
