If your clock has a round arbour push fit hand it is quite easy to sync. Undo the nut and the minute hand will drop off easily, then gently but firmly pull the hour hand from the centre so as not to put pressure on the hand itself. As soon as the clock chimes, replace the hand exactly on the hour corresponding to the amount of strikes, replace the minute hand pointing exactly to 12 o'clock and replace the nut. If the hour hand has a square fit arbour and held on by a rivet it is a bit more complicated and I would suggest you take it to your local clockmaker.
